Fished the gut in a usually productive spot last Monday. Caught plenty of fish but mostly small fish less than 8’. Did catch one nice pickerel and threw him back. Near a foot of ice everywhere I drilled a hole. All snow covered from 3-7 inches. Be careful out there!

When the kings are staging and hugging bottom, what's the preferred probe speed? Using FF or meat? Can't seem to nail it. Plenty of fish off the plant sat and Sunday but not many takers. Something not quite right. Using Fishhawk X4D. Appreciate any help!
