Re: Sign of theTimes?
I agree theres many reasons for low survival rate of the salmon than blaming one specific group of preditors. I help stock salmon on lake George every year , and my group convinces the state biologist to stock the fish in an area of lake George with a low poplution of lake trout and bass and the sur...

Grav- Lux cold cured salmon
This a very simple easy way to prepare salmon similar to lox with bagels. My preference is to slice the prepared salmon paper thin and dip in a dill dijon sauce, " So Delicious". Step 1] Mix together the salt cure, compleatly cover the meat side of the fish filet with the salt cure and pla...

dry heat smoked salmon requested by Pierre
STEP 1. Start the smoking process by brinning your fish filets for 8 hours with skin on. STEP 2. Remove filets from brine and place on a wire rack to air dry, skin side down. Lightly pat meat side with a paper towel and let dry till filets are no longer tacky to the touch. Step 3. Once air dryed, Pl...

Re: willsboro to the bouquet
we fished in 50 to 100 feet , took 8 fish in propwash off that one slidediver . If I were fishing in my boat I would have set a 4 # ball right down in back of the prop and hooked up direct to my 3 weight fly rod, just to have the experence of watching the fish leap and ZIZZZZ that fly reel.
