Re: Season update...?

I did that 25 years ago. Filled countless angler diaries
I don’t believe the data truly does much , as we’ve seen the salmon decline in Champlain.
It just gives someone a job

Re: Stackers and Cheaters?

On Lake Ontario we do run cheaters And we at times do run sliders Every piece of equipment has a time and place And the number of rods in the water depends on a bunch of factors #1 being conditions #2 time of year If we are fishing in 6 footers less is better If we are fishing deep 150’plus. Natural...

Re: Lake Ontario Mid Trip Report

Sometimes your better off just doing 2-3 charters , catching more fish. Or not. And you’ll save money in the end. Right now. Touch north off the salmon river. 39 line. 110-130 FOW has plenty of fish Try a red pro troll with a green Krinkle fly or a white green dot early with glow hammer Marvs fattie...

Re: Is September a good time.

Go the first 2 weeks after labor and you’ll be fine. If it rains a lot. Big numbers will hit the river early You can fish tight early n move out once the sun comes up. Run green glow j-plugs or glow spoons early. Move deeper and run pro-trolls and flies. Longer leader with the flies 24-30 inches. Tr...

Re: Broad lake 7/29

Run a 15 lb torpedo weight on your probe rigger. You’ll find it’s more precise. Set your rigger at say 70’ are run in shallow till it hits bottom , that will tell you exactly where it’s at. Try it in 2 directions against and with the current You can do the same to know where your slide divers are ru...

Re: Anyone been up north???

I run 6’-8’ cheaters.
Bulk purple silver, blk/silver,purple/silver,blue/silver,blk/white,purple/white. Have all been good for me.
Sliders seem to be working best. With leadcore being next best for the salmon.

Re: Anyone been up north???

Try gravely point area to Cumberland head Or try from sawyer island south to west side of providence island. Have caught a few salmon in that area Some times from point AU roche bouy south on ny side I’ve done well in that area for salmon If we get much south wind don’t bother in that area. Also the...
