Re: walleyes
That's a great video. But just like some one else mentioned, that's a lot of male walleye that were kept. I have a few older friends I fish with, I listen to similar stories of them keeping the limit of everyone they could get in the boat. That was common back then. With the walleye coming back hop...

Re: Hatchery brook 10/13
night fishing in most champlain tributaries in ny such as the saranac river is not allowed. I agree time limits would help but I cannot seem to find in the regulation book where the ny tribs have special hours. Where did you find that ? Even making some more catch and release only areas would help ...

Re: ACTION PLAN
I'm not ready to say the sky is falling yet, but when it comes to fishing ,I have always been an optimist. This strategy helps me sit in the boat for 6 or 8 hours with no releases. There are always the few times that just when I'm about to give up, a 6 pounder cartwheels off the back of the boat. T...

Re: Disappointing season - thus far
Funny this came up, just today I was wondering how everyone else salvaged the season. Right out of the gate this spring Bulwagga was not even close to prior years little did I know then the stage was set for a rough season. We had some good days but nothing spectacular on the more positive note we c...

Re: Lite Bite Observations
I've been using mine on the last few trips but still no success and the learning curve is more like a learning cliff so far, a did have a weed release it which I would of dragged with dipsey so I'll take it as a step in the right direction and keep trying to run into a hungry fish, like the info you...

Re: Lamprey numbers - feedback requested
We fish mostly Westport area and have seen very few fresh marks compared to old ones, lakers have more than salmon by far, we haven't boated a lamprey in boat yet this year and last year I recall 2. Based on the amount of time we get out I consider it pretty good only missed 3 weekends since ice out.

Re: Grand Slam 8/6
Congrats......I've been one species away on 5 different occasions this year but can't ever close the deal, rainbows and browns never seem to cooperate on the same days. I set rigger at 70 on Sunday and had 3 salmon on cheater and our fish were extremely acrobatic too. We almost didn't go based on ma...

Re: Broad Lake Steelhead
Congratulations that's a beautiful fish, catch fish like that in the rivers in the spring but have always wanted to get one in the lake, we have boated 5 this year and never prior but nothing to the caliber of that. Thank you for keeping my dream alive, congrats again you deserve it.
