Re: Looking to start a new BASS club in the Burlington Area

Thanks for the info. on the local tournaments. I would much rather join something that already exists than have to set it up myself so this is very helpful. I'm going to see if I can reach out to these folks and join them. I haven't had any luck trying this in the past because the contact info. on t...

Looking to start a new BASS club in the Burlington Area

Hi Folks, I'm looking to start a BASS club and need at least 5 other members to do so. The tournaments would be once a month April - Oct and would focus on Shelburne Bay, Malletts Bay, and The islands for launches. All the other clubs I see launch down south a lot so I thought I would see if there i...

Nice night for good bass...

Went out tonight after work and was really into some good LMB's I got 3 that were over 19". Last time I got that many that big in one trip was on a lake called Wequaquet down on Cape Cod. My camera phone was full but didn't tell me. I thought I got pix of the 20.5 and the 20 then realized I did...

Bass Pike and....A Huge Sunfish

Fished monday night in an area where I've been getting 30+ inch pike and was hoping for a master angler fish...well I got one...not a pike but a 9.5 inch Sunfish on one of my sunfish crankbaits :) http://www.champlainbaits.com/images/ma_sunfish.jpg Tuesday's trips were ok...nothing notable other tha...

Re: A visit to my favorite basshole

I wish I could pass some info. your way but I never fish Ti. All I can say is the lake is LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. I've been nailing smallies all season on weedlines and near prominent structure....and large mouth along the same stuff but also long subtle breaks. I almost always use 1) spinnerbaits or 2)...

Oldest sons new personal best largemouth Master Angler Entry

Fished from the kayak last night with my oldest son and a friend. I had a good fat 18" fish I was going to take a pic of and than my son let me know he was into a good one. Sure enough the fish came up to let is have a look and I could tell right away this was going to be a MA entry for him if ...

Re: Pike post...don't know where else to post

Thanks for the river tip matt...makes perfect sense. I'm a bit limited in range at the moment but I think I can hit the winooski so I may give that a try.

Pike post...don't know where else to post

So now that I got my MA lM and SM out of the way I moved on to pike. I'm on a solid group of fish that are in the low 30" inchs but not the 36" that I need. I've switched over to crankbaits because I need to get a bit deeper than I was fishing for the bass....my bluegill pattern has been d...

Shot this with the gopro. Just testing things out...thought some here might enjoy.

Re: Master Angler LM

Thanks Raz, I've got a good spot for big summer time pike so we'll see. I'm really hoping but to be honest I have no idea how I might get a photo of one if I get it :) I'll worry more about that once it's in the kayak with me! Matt, hate it when that happens. I hope when you do get him you get your ...

Master Angler LM

Got a Master Angler LM last week while fishing from the kayak. It hit one of my big spinnerbaits off a rock point out over about 15ft of water. Ended up being 20.5". Was fatter than the pic would have you believe...nice and healthy. Now that I've gotten LM and SM out of the way I'm moving on to...

Still on the big smallies

Fished for an hour and a half and got 3. One small smallie, one REALLY fat largemouth and another big smallie. I've gotten 5 in the 20" range in the last week. Never gotten one over 22 so here's to hoping this is the year for that. Anyway got this one on a chugger over 15' of water/weeds in mal...

Nice fish and great report. I never fish down south...sounds like a blast. It would take me the better part of a week to paddle down there :)

Thanks for sharing all the info. and best of luck.

Youngest son (5 years old) got his first master angler SM

Went out with my boys tonight and my youngest was on them like no ones business. He bagged three tonight all above 15" and he got a good pickerel also. All on a chugger. My oldest son hooked up with three fish but couldn't get any to stay on. This was his first time fishing from his own kayak t...
