Converse Launch

Eddie and I launched out of Converse at 10:00 AM on Tuesday on Seanymph 1 and headed across to Wallons Bay. Fish on before we had our lines out. Fish were breaking the surface all over the bay. We set the riggers at 10 to 20 ft. and trolled over 10 to 30 ft. of water. Picked up 5 Lakers at about 4lb...

Re: March Madness Salmon action

Great job on a windy day. Hope to get out this week if it ever stops snowing (another 3 inches here in Waterbury today).

Re: Port Henry - Nov 14

Last week we were out on the big lake. Of the more than a dozen Lakers caught, a number of them were not fin clipped.

Re: Salmon bite with a 2 boat fleet

Just a quick question? Where did you launch from and how south did you go? We launched out of Converse on Monday and the water was a little shallow. No salmon but lots of lakers.

Re: Sunday out of converse

Norski, Great report with pictures. Question about converse launch? How shallow was the launch? Were you able to float without dragging bottom? We are hopping to go out later this week. Thanks for the information. https://www.lakechamplainunited.com/forums/posting.php?f=4&mode=reply&t=27491&...

Re: My PB catfish

Norski here,
Growing up in Minnesota, we put most of the catfish that we caught in the smoke house for a good smoking. They turned out to be just delicious.

Converse Launch

Converse bay is free of ice! The ramp is dry an there is very little snow or ice in the parking lot.
All we need now is a port-a-poty and the docks installed. The docks are still buried in snow.
Fish on!

Re: Nov 30 Fishville

This is Norski on SeaNymph 1.
I keep seeing reports from Fishville on Lake Champlain. What exactly is Fishville and where is it? I can't seem to find it on my maps of Lake Champlain. Thanks for a reply.

Cooking trout the Scandinvian way!
Try a fish boil. Place potatoes, onions, salt, pepper, and a bay leaf in a pot of water to boil. When the potatoes are almost cooked, add chunks of Lake Trout and boil for another 10 minutes. Drain. Serve with melted butter.

Re: Seabill and Fathead Jan 16

Norski here,
Great report. I'd like to be out there myself, but the boat is snowed in. Question, just curious as to what speed you were trolling at?
Thanks
