I caught a pike of similar size trolling for salmon in Mallets bay 48 ft down about two weeks ago, couldn't believe it when I got it next to the boat. I never thought pike spent any time living in water deeper than 20ft, but I guess they do.

Caught this 27.5" 7lb steelie yesterday in the Shelburne area. Fish was caught 72ft down, 30 back on a wonderbread colored stinger spoon and put up a heck of a fight jumping clear out of the water a half a dozen times and making several drag screaming runs. Also caught this nice 5lb salmon few ...
