I seen pics of guys out on the bay don't know how much ice but they are out their. Once I hear about my truck I may take a ride and look for myself. But in the pics I can see several popups out. stay safe and best of luck looks like I maybe heading there myself come Saturday morning time to get the tip up ready and see if I cant pic up a salmon or two which I have done in the past early on.

safe ice north of the bullwagga bay campsites point about 8 inches of good solid ice but shore has a large heave. entering south on the campsites boat launch not safe . the warm rain over the weekend filled the brooks with warmer water and had plenty of soft spots and some open water. aprrox 6 inches of not safe ice there. large pressure crack all the way across from the point to the spiles. 2 people went in monday walking on south of the boat launch at the camp site. fisherman should check the ice there ist before trying to fish south of the boat launch site. be safe.
