Lake Champlain United - Forums

Hi All,

I'm fishing a fly fishing only tournament for bass this weekend on the lake and wanted to do a quick check in to see if anyone is picking up decent LM or smallmouth either as by-catches or targeted? All tips, advice, etc. much appreciated!! (I posted this in the fishing reports section as well).

Can't wait for the DPC 2014 this weekend. I have not had time to fish this year but it has to be better conditions then last year. I did win the smallest dink award last year. I hope the top water bite is on this year! My dad and I will be hitting the water in our kayaks throwing/pitchin all we got at the fish. Good luck!

I can hardly wait either. It's been my impression that lake conditions are pretty similar to last year. Water's a little lower, and clarity's a little better, though with this last slug of rain the off-color water should be filling up the delta & bay right around when we're there. At least there's no sousing rain in the forecast!
