Rotary report. Cowboy and Reelax

Post by Reelax »

Day one, Friday started early and slow in townfarm bay. Got 1st fish around 9 and it was a big slimmer. After trolling for an hr, here was the view.

After a trip to split rock we started getting some action. 20 down lead and rigger bite.

Back around thompsons, cowboy had a pig spit the hook on the surface. Then hold on..

21 inches of steel!!!!

We packed it in just before 5. 12hrs done.

Ended up 6 salmon, 5 lakers and a bonus steelhead...

Word on street that there is a forum member with an 8+lb salmon in first... Nice

Back at it this morning.

Matt catches Matt.
Unfortunate we see a lot of lamprey marks on the catches this year.

Day 3... Launched off isle lamoth to try for lakers. 1st fish was a beast...

Cowboy managed to get him to the boat... Over 12lb on boat scale... Nice fish to add to the 5.6 lb salmon for our team entry with Phil B.

Slow day but we got a few..

At weigh in, we find we are over 100 points out of team money...

But the good news is that LCU members are holding 3 of top 5 salmon places right Now.

Good luck to all still in the running!
