Lobster style hull as a troller?

Post by Hairbone »

Came across a nice older model Eastern 22 lobster 135 hp mercruiser and was wondering how these hulls do for trolling. Would like some input.

Thanks.

When I purchased my Arima Sea Ranger, I had to decide between it and an Eastern. The Eastern will be a fantastic boat to troll Champlain or the Great Lakes.

If the dealer would have given a little on his price, I would be the proud owner of an Eastern 22!

Arima & Easterns are top not. I see some Arimas down in PA that are leftovers that I would like to tow home.

I haven't tried yet but plan to find out very soon. I can tell you though that Easterns are seaworthy as hell though. My newer 18 has been staring at me from the trailer all damn morning :(

Seaway 19's and 21's are nice too. My neighbor had one for a while.

Harry do keep in the back of your mind, that my Arima may be going on the block this summer still. I am still having some medical issues that may force me to sell her. I will probably decide in late June or July; but right now it seems to be a real possibility, as much as I hate to admit it. :x
