Coast of Shelburne July 4th

Headed out of the CG launch with a friend this morning at 6 and set up outside of Shelburne bay headed south. We went something like 12 for 20 with hits on everything; 7 colors, riggers at 45 and 55, and a slide diver out 200' with a 30' leader. All but two fish were lakers of varying size. The two salmon were healthy 20 inchers, nothing to brag about but I'll take it. One laker went home with my buddy for dinner after a quick stun and bleed. All other fish are still in the lake.

On the way to the boat ramp on Main St in Burlington, in my truck towing my boat at 5:30 am, a young woman flagged me down to ask if I was going to the airport. Yeah....

The winner today was this beat up silver and blue spoon, peeling tape and all:

Lots of bait and predators hanging out here:

We also got to see a sailboat up on a plane. Interesting...

Beautiful, almost windless day out there this morning. I hope y'all have a great holiday.

I think they were attracted to the loose tape...they kept hitting it. But yeah, they're pretty aggressive.

Nice job! What the heck does that sailboat have for a motor in it? He was flying ... for a blow-boat, anyway!

Great day Andy. Lakers love those silver and blue spoons. It sounds like that woman looking for a ride to the airport was already flying. Salt water action was pretty slow in Shelter Island Sound this week but the weather was great. I hope my Dyer moves as fast as that sail boat!

Nice report Andy.... Can't believe that blow boat... Had to be doing 20knots or more.
