From the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Face Book page:
Construction of a new Chimney Point Fishing Access Area in Addison is well under way. The Chimney Point Fishing Access will provide an easy entry point to the some of the most productive fishing for bass, walleye, northern pike, yellow perch, and lake trout on southern Lake Champlain. It is one of 170 developed fishing access areas provided and managed on Vermont’s public waters by the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department.

It still needs a breakwater on the North side, are they going to do that?seems to me if they are going to go through all that work with the barriers already in place, now would be the time to put a breakwater in.

Re: Chimney Point Fishing Access
I believe I heard the only improvements were more parking up by the road....deeper area around the launch and a new pad. Too many hurdles to jump too get a break wall. I still say on windy days launch at McCuin slang in the spring..... Plenty of water, parking and wind it hardly ever an issue.
It has been neat to watch them work on this project from the water.
