Fishing 6-22-14

Once again launched out of Westport at about 530! Started trolling at snake den heading towards whallons!! Not a single release until we hit the lighthouse where one rod fired with a 5 lb laker! Trolled around the bay for 2-3 hours and picked up about 8-10 lakers and 4 shaker salmon!! Wind started to pick up so we decided to troll back to launch!! After three more lakers we finally hooked into a nice salmon and after 4-5 leaps we had a nice 4.5 lb salmon in the boat!! Continued trolling picking up numerous shaker and lake trout!! One of my buddies was then setting up our cheater and the line was ripped out of his hand, I was watching behind the boat and could see a fish jumpin about 100' behind the boat and thought this is one wound up laker well we finally get it to the boat and it was a nice brown trout!! First brown we have ever landed in my boat!! After a few fist bumps, grins from ears to ears, and lines loaded with seaweed we picked up and called it a day!! After a very slow start we finished with a cooler of nice fish for the smoker and 3 very happy fisherman!!!
