Fleas AND Greasers!
Fleas AND Greasers!
Went out yesterday/evening, poked around the Inland Sea for a few hours and didn’t mark anything worth sticking around for so motored over to the west side to one of my salmon holes north of Valcour. Half an hour into the set rod tripped and my buddy grabbed it and started reeling. And reeling. And reeling… I saw the tip guide was fouled with fleas but didn’t say anything because until then the bite was slow and quite frankly it was rather entertaining watching him incrementally tightening the drag and mumbling how he could not gain on the fish. Five minutes or so later he got a decent (and VERY clean) laker to the boat for quick pic and released. Also caught 2 short salmon. All three fish were at 45’ in 130 FOW, Crazy Ivan chart green.

Look at the tail on the bottom dweller;) looks like he has been around a while…
Did you go under the sandbar bridge or thru the drawbridge to get to the main?
Thanks for sharing.

Hey Matt,
I drove up and through the Gut. Many years ago I was “that guy” stuck on the Sand Bar with cars honking at me when the lake was below 96, of course I found the one high spot and was alone. After that I vowed never again
