Homewrecker Dec 1st out of Converse
Had the good fortune today to join Deano aboard the Homewrecker... We put in at converse with no trailers at the launch at 645am. No waves to start with surface temps around 48. Yes, the dock is still in!!!
We started in front of garden island and popped the 1st silver of the day by 730am. It came on a orange and gold speedy shiner off the slide diver, 60 back , 100 feet down. Good bait between garden and picket all day. We started hard on the salmon, then hit a couple lakers toward the end. Saw the master on the water, and talked to supercab on the radio. Did see one other boat out, but not sure who it was. Sounds like Todd was south early.
By 11am we had 4 nice keepers around 20" in the box and were looking for some sport.... Bite was solid today as we landed every release we got!!!!
Here is a look at some hardware we washed.
Here is a look at what fired!
One bit of good news is we had a fish sit up a smelt!!!!!
Here are the 4 that went into the freezer...
I think we ended up with 5 salmon and a couple of lakers by 1 pm we were drying the boat on the trailer....
That solarium that Deano has doesn't even need heat if the sun is out.... Thanks for the great time Dean!!!

Always a pleasure Matt, glad we could pick up some fish even if they all came on your side. still a great frostbite outing and with this outing I have fished 12 months this year including leap year day. won't be many chaces to do that again.....or will there?

Those are some portly looking fish and it's good to see those smelt showing up again. All my fish from that area in November carried smelt or were empty.

Congrats Boys...not often you see salmon in snow and no hard water... thanks for the update and maybe we can fish (open water) through the winter this year as well.
