Re: Ocean City
I did not get a chance to go offshore last month, but had some fun catching small sharks.

Some people wish they had a boat, others have a boat and try to enjoy as much as possible.
And some have a boat and don't really know what to do with it.

I didn't know they were that far north!Gecha (Gerry) wrote:Adding some pics taken earlier this season.
Our neighbor caught a nice mahi-mahi during a short trip offshore, and it tasted delicious.
Is that unusual???
That's a species on my bucket list...just about at the top of that list!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Catch and serve with lemon.

Re: Ocean City
Went fishing around 6 pm in the bay for about 1 hour after work.
Caught a grand slam ...... in the midget league.
1 sea bass
1 crab
1 eel
1 fly
Storm Hermine stirred a lot of water. In the bay the water is dirty so fishing is almost non existent. It will take a couple of days for the tides to clear it up a bit.
Hope the bite picks up by weekend.

Re: Ocean City
The last few weeks we got hit a few times with heavy rain and wind.
Hurricane Matthew is gone but he brought a lot of water.
This is a pic of my pier at regular high tide
This is last weekend
Luckily no damage to mine, but other places had their pier completely under water of even planks ripped off.

And then, as the sky started clearing, we had a nice rainbow.

Re: Ocean City
Today is our last day in Ocean City.
Leaving tomorrow morning for a 600+ trip back home.
The boat is now is storage till next year and it's another struggle to fit all those luggage back in the car.
Weather is great, sunshine and 70 degrees. Wish I could stay a bit longer.
In the meantime, our neighbors went fishing in the bay and had a wonderful time.
Each got their limit of 4 keepers, and they had many throwbacks.
Next week I hope to be floating on Champlain chasing after salmons.
See you all soon at the frostbite.
