mexico bay 1-20/1-22

Post by finsntins »

we decided to skip the lotsa show last weekend with seeing the weather forecast and tow the little boat out to mexico.fished Friday only for a couple hours as the wind was blowing pretty good, went 1 for 2.nice brown around 5lbs.saturday got on the water around 9 and by noon still had not moved a rod,fog was really getting thick,so we started to head toward port from the big river, got to Selkirk pier and hit a little guy, then about 10 minutes later pop a nice 5lber and as we get him out of the net for a quick pic.line pops off the board, throw the fish overboard, hand the rod to becky, then another pops off the board, land both fish, both were in the 5 to 7 lb range.turned around and went back through the way point and pop another little guy.got out sunday, sun shining, water dead flat, same as Saturday, noon time and nothing, start pulling lines to head in and chute rod starts pulling pick it up,nobody home, then 2 minutes later, line pops off the board, but after a short fight,he got off.we didn't kill them, but

it was nice to be on the big pond in the end of January.
