I have a bunch of those huge flatfish baits. I got off eBay for cheap. I run them when it gets slow and have caught silvers on them. Gonna try them out in ontario some fall.

They will run at any speed up to 4 mph! They have grooves in the side so you can wrap alwive strips around them tied with this stretchy string to make them more enticing.

10-4 Scott. Nothing like Spring King fishing. Even the small kings are bigger than the largest brown we used to catch in the Eastern Basin on a daily basis. The word is the fish did really well with the mild winter we just had and there has been mid-twenty class of fish being taken recently.

Great video. They make it look so easy. Calm waters and hot bite. That 20' StarCraft is a cool fishing machine.

We sure are Fred. In that show above at the 2 minute mark my Fishmaster 196 is trolling by with our 6 rod spread for two licenses. I really like that Starcraft STX 20' Mark is fishing with the 200 E-Tec and the tree rod holders fishing the Offshore boards (2 per side). Pretty cool.

The Romanick team caught 3 of these monsters at the Bar yesterday while filming for their 2017 show. They may have added a larger net this year for these big toads. When they get to this size they eat brown trout for snacks. :)

First two days was very challenging for us and the fleet with persistent East winds for the last 10 days from a coiled up jet stream have really scattered the bait and fish on the western end of Lake O. First 2 days we landed 7 fish including some LT up to 14 lbs. But we as fishermen like a challenge!

Today with calmer winds we started out with a very nice first light acrobatic Atlantic and then a 18 lb. 6 oz. King followed by a 15 lb King that took the dipsy for a 300 foot ride hitting 500 ft on the counter when it stopped. Finished 7 for 7 today.
