6/10/2018 was invited by targav18 (jimmer) to fish for salmon and lakers this morning and decided to go. i was heading up the lake to fish with jeff (chawk) but he said he was going to be there all week and to come up anytime. met jimmer at the launch at 5:30 am with lots of bass boats in line for a bass tournament so didnt get to launch until around 6 am. headed a little north set up 4 rods with his 4 riggers. 7 am or so a freind zack was checking a rigger and line snapped jimmer pulled up ball and unhooked release and fish on he pulls in a salmon by hand over hand. then about 8 am we decided to swap out lures since it was brighter i picked them out 2 bees and and a crazy ivan. they were bright green striped purple and blue/silver , we set the lines 30 to 50 feet behind the ball 25 35 and 45 down. with in 15 minutes the green striped fired 25 foot down and fish on and my turn. i land a nice chunky atlantic. then about 9 am zacks turn a release on the same rod and fish on again zack land a 18 inch salmon. now here is the ending only 1 more release the rest of the day and we fished until 1 pm. reel fun was also out and never landed a fish talked to another troller and 1 small laker and 2 releases for the day. we found lots of fish and bait but everything was scattered. plenty of boats but fish were not active. nothing like saturday when jimmer and zack landed 4 nice salmon and 2 lakers and lost a beast.
