town meeting day piggie

Post by Reelax »

 got to fish with Fathead and lightandvariable aboard Phantom today out of converse. North wind in am threw up 2-3 footers but we managed 11 fish off planers all short stick baits with one or 2 split shots. Water temps was 34.1-34.5.... Brown trout and purple were best colors today..

Got lucky in afternoon after everyone left with Jeremy at the helm and then on net. This puppy made us clear all the rods... What a great fight that started with a nice jump.. 7.5lb and 26” not bad for March! great start to 2018

Congrats Matt. That is a great salmon. I'm thinking of launching out of Converse Bay this weekend and trying to hook up with my first salmon of 2018. Was there any ice out there to deal with?

No ice at all now... unless you go deep into smaller bays.

Nice start Matt,

Is the saying, "the early bird gets the fish"?

People that are seriously devoted will not be held down!!!! You guys should be put in school books to enlighten our youth. The objective is to get out.... catching a fish ( or absolute trophies) is the key stone to the castle. Congrats men. Keep em tight I'll be in sight
