Mike was fishing with me almost to the day a year ago after the shoot-out when he caught this 24" 6.5 lb fish at that time personal best he later released at the ramp. Kudo's to Mike!

Awesome fish!!! Congrats Ron and Mike. Sounds like the scales you weighed the fish on at the lake were a little light!!!! It was fun for my partner and me just to hear of your catch on the vhf

When I first weighed it the tare was off on the scales allowing it to read lite. Later we decided to reweigh it with the same Shoot Out scales zero'd out and the second weighing came in at 8.98 lbs. We made the decision then to get it weighed on certified scales. Those Shoot Out scales are very accurate. Just was a flub on my part on the first weighing.
