Nice catch Butcher. You're right about given enough time strange things happen. In August 2012 I was trolling a half mile off Garden Is. and hooked a 5 lb. class salmon with a Rapala running at about 6 ft. I was just goofing off with the Rapala as I only had 1 lead line for my deep troll. Just goes to showya.

I swear by Mepps spinners. Even caught a salmon on one a couple of years ago. Amazing Brown. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

What a fish! And the weight, was that an official weight? Looks like the second fish pictured is bigger. Probably just camera trickery.
I have only caught small browns in rivers and streams. These lake browns look like a whole different animal. I have caught a couple little stockie browns on the lake. So no real experience with the lake run fish.
Congratulations Butcher!

What an awesome brown ... and out of the inland sea. I've been wondering where all of the browns go that they stock in the IS. Maybe this guy has been eating them all! Congrats!

Butcher? I'm always amazed at your ability to take browns out of the IS. What color was your Mepps and was it dressed or not? Super fish?
