My report is a little late. Been busy. We fished the lci and got battered by the wind as anyone knows that fished it. Started out in Cumberland head for Lakers managed 7 by 9 am got bounced around pretty good light blue hammerheads were working ok. Decided to pull the boat and head south. Setup again in Port Douglas fished the South shore with nothing and trolled to Schuyler picked a small salmon on south side of the island on the way. 30 down over 90 , 50 feet back, on ppe mp6. Managed a few Lakers then called it quits. Saturday we went farther south to Westport. Launched and trolled to whalons bay and back. Pulling every color imaginable at one point or another fished from 80 to 200 fow. Managed 7 salmon all came within a 1/4 mile of snakes den. Nothing of any size. And every salmon was caught on a different spoon. PPE, NOISY BOY, COP CAR, and 4 of my own colors. Silver/blue. Purple/pink. Orange brown. And pink. Water was consistent 50 degrees 30 down til we got half way to whalons then went cold to 42 degrees 30 down almost like a wall. Tons of people fishing that whole stretch. Stayed on the New York side the whole time. Monday fished back home around valcour without much success on Lakers. Was overall a pretty dismal derby for us. And by the looks of the boards was for alot of people. Biggest Lakers we landed was around 10 biggest salmon about 3
