Struggled

Post by raz »

I struggled to catch a salmon today. Cathy said it's cause of the high pressure that settled in to make it a beautiful day far far to the north on Champ. I'll use that for an excuse.
Copper hi-tec tight tight tight behind Fathead gold blades finally did the trick after trying tons of other spoons and presentations.
Hooks on the screen but nobody wanted to play.
Beautiful day none-the-less.

Congrats and nice fish. I didn't even know you guys pulled cowbells for salmon. I've never caught one that way with a inline cowbell.

Those are vertical blades, they are attached between the release and ball on your rigger cable, hence the reason to run "tight tight tight" to the ball. It would not surprise me if some did try inline cowbells on Champ though, especially with a tough bite this year. throw it all at em!

Do you use Blacks or Chamberlain with that setup? I suppose either works.
