I just watched the netting of the monster Silver. You may need to put some Nitroglycerin tablets onboard if you keep catching fish like that. LOL
What pound test line were you run if i my ask?

I have been following this story in silence, but I must chime in an offer my congratulations. That is truly special fish. It is also special that you and your team are sharing your knowledge and methods so the rest of us can continue to build on our skills.

That was a well earned win by a great team. Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us on the forum.

That rod had a full core f the heavy 28lb test lead with 40 ft 10lb mono section to a 10lb fluorocarbon leader... I now run 10 to 12 lb flourocarbon leaders across the board. Made that change after the run in with Jaws over a year ago... :ugeek:

The best thing about this report, other than the huge, beautiful fish, is the excitement it generates with everyone who sees it. If you spend enough time on this lake, anyone has a chance to catch a once in a lifetime salmon. It's a testament to all the effort that has been put into the restoration project. Reelax and this crew spend more time on the lake than most of us, and we appreciate all the help you provide here with your reports.

Thanks for the great detail and capturing the excitement of that moment.
