Well, I couldn't take it any more and I had to take the boat out this past Sunday. I arrived at the Converse Bay launch around 9:00AM hoping for a bit warmer air temperature to launch in. There were five other trailers in the parking lot, so I am not the only one with cabin fever. The boat was reluctant to start. I had to put a hand warmer next to the fuel filter to get things moving. Finally, the boat started and we were off into the icy bay. The water temperature was only 33.8 degrees We started off great catching our first salmon after about 10 minutes of trolling on a pink yo-zuri pin minnow with two colors of lead core out. The rest of the day was slow for us as we only managed to go 2 for 6 over the next four hours. It was great to get out again, but I am looking forward to fishing in water a bit warmer.
