I just drove by the Shelburne Bay access. Ice as far out into the bay as I could see, but a strong south wind could open it up.

Lamoille is open, but your not going to get far into mallets bay as its pretty iced up.

Awesome! All systems seem to be go for my first trip of the year. Got two buddies lined up to come out, finished a wicked ghetto planer mast, and got the boat fired up and trailer lubed!

Thanks, Tire Jockey, for the recon. I don't think I'd be able to get to the lake, though! We fished Town Farm yesterday (out of Converse) and it looked pretty locked up in front of Lewis and the Little Otter. Not sure if it was just slush or if it was ice ... didn't get close enough. Can't get to the islands in Town Farm yet, either. Hopefully this week will take care of the ice/slush that is left down that way.

I kind of figured it would be locked up at the mouth still, should be good after today.
