Homewrecker 2017 maiden voyage

Hit converse at 630 with Da Comitted and Homewrecker. 6 deg out and skim ice out 75 yards... Motor took 20 min of coaxing to turn over and another 15 to drop into gear. But after that the trip was like mid summer!

Looks like a beaver has started a lodge where the dock should be..




Gotta love ice breaking at 1st light.





Started right off garden and hi he 1st silver of the year off thompsons after turning west toward New York. Came on a special spoon Dean brought with a squid on the hook...



We picked another silver up in NY after making a pass down the the unicorn. Bait was down 100 around thompsons but no where else... Nice day for a float with a couple of great frost bitters...

Nice to see someone capitalized on the nice weather. Next 2 days are gonna be real nasty on the lake. 3-5 footers.

Great to get out on a frosty AM. Good thing we had heat and a bite to keep us a little warm. Fish were all over, with that fish hitting a rigger set at 60. Deep bait, deep fish it seems.
