Re: So it begins
When I worked in the industry the word was that those old 90 degree OMC V-4's were some of the most reliable outboards ever built. In the late 70's, 80's and 90's all of the other outboard manufacturers were striving to compete with the success of that design. I have been considering pulling the Bearcats off the boat and replacing them with an older OMC 115 for a little more speed but haven't done it yet because of fuel economy and the need for a kicker. Have you trolled with the 85? and if so, any issues with plugs fouling or loading up?

Re: So it begins
Anyone looking for a 135 hp Mercury Optimax 2012 for $4,900 contact me at Vt Home. Motor came from us and was a repower. Boat is dated and junk now. Owner is letting it go on the cheap. Books for $8,000. 20 hrs on engine!!!!! 20" Long shaft.
It can be trolled easy with fuel injection similar as an E-tech same 2 stroke technology. No smoke!
It's a steal!
