Saturday was a long day.
Left home 5 am, launched at Port Henry at 7:30.
Boat traffic was lite.
We headed towards the green can and trolled from 1/2 mile north of the can down close to the bridge, between 14-25 fow.
Listening to the radio, some had managed a few catches in their box but saying the bite was scares.
Just passed 8 am, we got a good hit on a planer board but after a great jump, he spitted the hook.
Another 20 minutes later, another hit on a small dipsy diver. This one made it to the livewell.
Both hits were on multi color spoons, green/red/yellow.
We patrolled from bridge to green can, to bullwagga bay, halfway up toward Westport, near shore, and in the middle of the pond, but the rest of the day went by, without any other hits or releases. We had to check the lines often as there were a lot of small weeds.
Surface temp started at 51.4 and went up to 60.8 in mid afternoon.
We had lines deep from 2 to 20', 20' to 120' back, changing colors every half hour. We were marking fish and bait almost everywhere, but could not get them to hit.
Got out of the water past 5 pm, got stuck in customs traffic for 1/2 hour, arrived home at 8 pm.

This was my last trip to Champlain until fall, as we will be heading to our summer home in Ocean City early June, trading for salt water fishing for flounders, bluefish, stripers, and maybe tuna, mahi mahi, and shark offshore fishing,

Have a great summer Gerry. We'll keep enough fish in the lake so you'll have some action in the Fall. :D
