Nov 28, Barn Rock - Basin Harbor

Post by Surprise »

Dave & I got a short or different window today 11:30- 2:30 ...he had work.?...

anyhow set up over at Rock Harbor because of a stiff NW wind and as I was running the Scottie rigger down to 35 it trips....crap... Oh look at the rod go again....Cripes a fish ...Quick salmon ... Skunk Gone...can't tell you what depth but on a Bomb Pop ....OK NOW!

Check in with Carl "Da Boat" already out has 2 lakers and the we troll 1 1/2 hours no fish no bait on The NY Side. Top of the Palisade we head to Vt and as soon as we hit Vt Fish on a nice 19 in fat brown on a Fat Buzzy longline 120 ft out. Little Bastard kept swimming to the boat .....Reel,reel reel .....Oh shit there is a boat now i'll fight like a Tasmanian Devil Fish....hey - ha..That was more fun for me than him :D

The top pic could be anywhere along the Alaskan coast, but it's just Vermonters that haven't learned to come in out of the cold. Amazing pic. Gutsy fishermen. Thanks for sharing. Glad you guys are nailing some good ones.

That first pic is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your nice outing.

Good luck tomorrow. While you'll be fishing, I'll be hibernating my vessel :(

Nice report Randy. We did the early shift daylight till 11 am. Lots of action at daybreak some nice 18-20 inch salmon. Slowed down a bit but we ended with 17 salmon 3 lakers and a brown. Thanks Tucker for going with me and catching all the fish. He had got a nice buck the day before and his side of the boat was on fire this morning. Fish On!!!!!!
