How to Install Previous App Purchases to a Different Device (All Platforms)

If you have already purchased a current app and have made the In-App purchases and want to share this information between devices or if you have purchased the regions within the Boating app and also want to share this information between devices, please follow the below instructions. Before beginning, both devices must be of the same platform (Android and iOS are not interchangeable).

*** Download the exact same app as on the original device back onto the device or your new device. ***

If you are using the same Store account you originally purchased the application under on the new phone, you have not changed phone platforms and you have purchased the current application (e.g., our free Boating app or a paid Boating regional app), then you are able to install the application without the need to purchase again.

Note that the procedure to follow is different depending on the type of In-App purchase to restore. Renewable In-App purchases (subscriptions) like Navionics+ are managed differently from others that were once a one-time purchase (Navigation Module, Advanced Map Options and Autorouting). Subscriptions are managed directly through the Navionics server and therefore the user will have to log into his Navionics account. One-time purchases were and are managed through the App Store server and therefore the restore of those modules requires the use of the Store account.

Important: In case the purchase of the Navionics+ subscription has been made without being logged in to the Navionics account then the restore function will not work on ANY device. It is therefore necessary to make sure to be logged into the Navionics account on the original device at time of or after the purchase before proceeding with the transfer to the other device. Failing to do so will not allow Navionics to validate the purchase for that Navionics account and thus permit restore.

Android

To install a previous Navionics app purchase for Android, go into the Google Play Store app and select the Menu button from the upper left (usually 3 horizontal lines). Then, from the Menu, select "My apps & games" and go to the "ALL" tab. Select the Navionics mobile app you wish to install onto your device from your list of previous purchases and select the "Install" button. You can find additional information by going to the Google Play Help page at https://support.google.com/googleplay/a ... 3410?hl=en.

Once your app has been reinstalled, go through the following steps to restore your purchase of In-App upgrades or Navionics+ subscription purchases:

Go to Menu > Settings > Navionics Login
Sign into your Navionics account - A Navionics account is required to restore certain purchases, such as Navionics+ subscriptions
Tap Map in the upper left
Press Menu > Charts & Upgrades
Select the "Restore Purchases" button to restore any In-App upgrades or Navionics+ subscriptions

iOS/Apple

To install a previous Navionics app purchase for Apple, go to the App Store app located on your device. For iPhone users, at the bottom of the screen tap the "Updates" button and then select "Purchased" at the top of the screen. For iPad users, tap "Purchased" at the bottom of the screen. Tap the option for "Not on this device" and find the application you want to install. Tap the Install or Cloud icon to download the application. Note: The HD mobile apps, being optimized for the larger screen dimensions of the iPad, can not be loaded onto an iPhone. You can find additional information by going to the iTunes Help page at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201272.

Press Menu > Shop > Mobile Charts
Select the "Restore Purchases" button to restore any In-App upgrades or Navionics+ subscriptions

With Ice fishing ending for some that means boating is just around the corner. Some of you may already know about a amazing collaboration between to companies that has put not only an affordable product on the market but one that is revolutionizing the way folks are looking at sonar and sonar chart mapping. Vexilar has created a unit called Sonar Phone a WIFI enabled sonar box that sends sonar signal to your mobile phone or tablet They have also partnered with Navionics allowing you to combine their Sonar charts allowing you to have the best of both worlds on top of that you can actually create your own maps by running sonar chart live. I encourage you to give it a look
