Lowrance autopilot

Does anyone have experience with lowrance cable steer auto pilot system? I really don’t know anything about boat steering systems but am interested in autopilot and my 2004 polar Kraft is cable steered

To use a Lowrance AP you need a HDS Gen2or a Gen3 and Carbon
If the cable steer work as good as the hydraulic it's perfect

Yeah I saw that... I figure it gives me a reason to upgrade the electronics I have looks like for the cost of any other system I can get the lowrance ap and an Hds3 7 inch

I have that Octopuss behind helm drive... works great! and is very quiet... and i installed myself....

Mated to a simrad ap24 on my system, but is the same drive unit....
