an update on my health problem

Post by fishy1 »

some of you already know that i have been struggling with a health problem the last 6 months and havent been able to join forum member fishing and it has also cut into my fishing and my way of life also with my family. in june i was diagnosed with prostrate cancer which occurs in 1 out of 10 men so i was going to have surgery and have my prostrate removed but then they did a pet scan and it had spread to my pelvic bone. so surgery was out and i elected to have radiation for my prostrate and have hormone shots for my pelvic bone cancer . well after 43 treatments 5 days a week at fitzpatrick cancer center i completed them last thursday the same day i received my brown trout fish mount. my psa is down to 2 from 9 and both drs said im doing fine . i will continue to have hormone shots every 6 months for 3 years to contain my cancer on my pelvic bone. it was very happy news for me and my family. for all of the members that have invited me out fishing i would like to say a big thank you and there are many out there . my plans now are to go back to my great routine fishing. bring it on fish on.Image
