Sad Easter
The plan was to get the boat ready for a short shakedown this weekend, but a midnight phone call changed all that. After being told that my Mom had just passed away, everything got put on hold. She spent 94 years in this world and was the best Mom to 8 kids, Grandmother to 23 and Great Grandmother to 18. I have been asked to put together a memory board and quickly realized the side of a barn would be too small for the memories she created. She loved attending every event she could and made the most of the life she was given. Saying goodbye is extremely difficult, but she always said not to feel sorry for her, just live my life like she taught me. Good advice from the lady that gave me mine.

Funny you should mention the memory album. I volunteered to do a couple of memory boards for the Wake. I have no artistic vision, so it's been a challenge. I do have a pile of pics to choose from. Anything for Mom.jusgrinnin wrote:Very sorry for your loss, having just been there and having made a memory album very helpful for closure. My she rest in peace.

I felt the same and the emotional roller coaster was both heart breaking and healing at the same time, one min laughing the next bawling. I remember a song "country bumkin" by Cal Smith it came on Pandora and I just busted up crying. I wish you and your family peace in knowing she is at peace.
