lamprey on a pike ??

Post by tomasz20 »

Caught a native Silver lamprey attached to a pike. Any one else catch any fish with lampreys attached. Ps this is not the sea lamprey.

Why would you release that thing? Should have cut it in half!

About 10 years ago, I caught a big Smallie with a lamprey attached. Smallie released. Lamprey pieces released. Glad to see the revived application efforts. Seems successful. Judging by the results of the treatment of the Platte, lampreys will never go away, but control is key.
