Wow cool... I just used my navionics on iPad to map and watch realtime our flight to Orlando and back.... With airplane mode on the gps still works and we could watch the location, and speed of the flight the whole way. Didn't know an Airbus a320 could go 620mph...

The stewardess was looking to down load the app. Cause they never been able to track the flight like that... She said it had more detail than the cockpit...

Ha! Duel use... :geek:

Navionics Fly app work also in a Cessna with floatplane

That's really cool. Apparently a lot of amateur pilots use tablets for navigation, probably a bunch just use navionics for software.

It's amazing that the base app costs $10 and does what it does. Really great value if you have a tablet. I don't own a plotter and have never felt like I'm missing anything.

I used it to track a run down Smuggs to see my speed while skiing. I know they have a skiing ap, but I just used the boating ap to track it.
