In-line Planer Board modifications

Post by JDK »

Not sure if this has been posted but I have modified my in-lines to run better with segmented leadcore. I use Church Tackle TX-12 boards and they tend to drift back when running 5 or more colors of leadcore. I look the lead out of the board , trimmed some of the foam and moved the lead weight slightly forward on the board. They now seem to run truer and out to the side better.

I'm sure a larger board or an Offshore OR12 Board would be better but this is what I had.

What have you done?

Go to : Blood Run Tackle website. There is an article about making mods to Church and offshore boards.

Yes, some great info there. While his site is geared toward Great Lakes salmon fishing with copper, I'm sure some of those tweaks can be applied here to make our inlines more effective.

I thought I was being innovative by moving the lead forward. I noticed that the boards ran back and at a funny angle so I played around with them while on the water until they ran truer and out to the side more.

I thought I was playing the game and now realize the game was already over. :D

You had fun playing the game... and the game is never over... there's always new adventures added every season, if not everyday.
