Off-season reading

Post by tamiron »

To help those who may be looking for somewhere to spend some of their Christmas "loot", try
http://bluehorizonsportfishing.net/salm ... ideos.html.

It is, in my opinion, a great source for any level angler's library for trout and salmon fishing. He focuses on King Salmon, but the techniques can be applied almost anywhere.

No affiliation to me nor have I even spoken to Dan for more than 5 minutes at a seminar a few years ago. But I do have his books and do recommend his focused approach. /Jim

Hey Matt. After four seasons I finally came up with a name for my boat that I like, so I figured I'll just make it my VHF handle. It's named after the Laurentide ice sheet/glacier that covered all of New England and formed the Champlain Sea before it became the lake. It reached all the way down to and formed Long Island, NY, which is where I was born.

I hope you do a proper boat naming ceremony Andy, consulting with Neptune. Also you must remove all traces of the old name from the boat, including from any paperwork. It should be a party. Nice name.

Thanks Jeff. Hopefully we'll cross paths in 2018 on the lake.

Bought this book that Jim suggested. Great read with lots of tips and ideas.
Not all will apply to Champlain, but plenty will.
