Nothing lasts forever!!

Post by Sleepswithdafishes »

Friday I headed over to Peacham pond solo for a few hours! Just one of those great peak fall days!! Over the last few years I heard rumors that Smallmouth bass had found there way into the lake but never saw any evedence of it!! Well it wasnt but maybe 10 or 15 minutes after setting up I am now a believer!! I landed what I thought was a decent Brown trout only to see it was about a 3lb Smallmouth!!This lake is or was one of the best Brown trout lakes in the state !! For the next 2hrs I got skunked on trout but landed 3 more bass!! I hope this dosnt mean that the trout fishing will be ruined !!!! I guess only time will tell!!! Sleeps

Time will tell.

Lake Dunmore got illegal introduction of smallmouth in the mid 90's and from what I hear it didn't impact the largemouth population and it still puts out big salmon.

St. Catherine and Bomoseen are both know for good bass and brown trout, particularly St. Catherine, both are bigger than Peacham though.
