The rounds for launch Dec 15

Post by Surprise »

Made the rounds and found some ice in Converse. With the dock removed a south wind should whip it right out.

If you go break the ice to get your trailer in without breaking your tail lights. Lower the motor, start it and put into forward gear. The propwash will slowly break the ice and make a hole large enough to get the boat off the trailer and turn around to go out thru the remaining ice. This method has saved my taillights and transducer on the transom.

Arnold Bay is wide open the hill plowed and salted. Saw Chris from Vergennes Panton Water and he asked Rick from Panton Highway to do this. Thanks Guys

Jeff,

There would be room for one if you pull way up. I still go up the hill.

It looks like the Coast Guard cove is still open, or there's at least enough open water that you could get a boat in. If you scroll down there's a webcam at the Echo Center: http://www.echovermont.org/lakeweather
