Windy fall

Post by C-Hawk »

Seems to me that its been a little windy lately. I had to be up last Fri and the wind was a steady 30, South. Couldn't fish. There has been 2 days in the last 4 where there were gusts over 40 ! Every time I think I can sneak up to fish a day, the wind howls. Guess I'm going to have to go anyway soon. I know it gets windy in the fall, but this is mostly South, unlike Nov North wind.

Here in VT weather always trumps all. Fishing, hunting, and, for me, skiing. We just have to consider that Mother Nature is really in charge.

Hope next weekend is calmer, wind-wise.

My boat is still in the water. Hoping for a few more days out. I targeted Nov 1st as my last day before I pull it. I put it in April 29th, and pulled it once to change the oil and replace a broken transducer. Temps look to be 70 degrees or at least close later in the week, so who knows...maybe the winds will die some.
