Heading to the Big Lake

A group of us 3 guys 5 gals are heading to South Hero for a week at the end of Aug the guys will be fishing out of Kayaks something we have done now for a while. The other guys just want to catch fish but I am looking to find some Walleye. Any good areas we should check out around the sandbar for early morning or early evening. All of our Kayak are rigged fishing yaks and we are not adverse to heading out into deep water if the weather cooperates.

Launch at Whites Beach, So Hero, on the West Shore Rd. and paddle out beyond Providence, 1-2 miles, and jig for lake trout.Watch out for cruisers
