Lake Champlain Coast Guard Potential Changes

Post by pfu »

Not sure if you might be interested in potential changes of northern water ways including Lake Champlain. A boating friend of mine forwarded a document outlining the potential changes to buoy markings and in some cases removal altogether that I found interesting/concerning. Please review and if necessary bring up your concerns to the Coast Guard authorities.

I have included a link to the PDF file from my corporate website to make it easier for folks to find and review. I will remove the file access in three weeks.

So is this a Trump cost cutting initiative . Some of these reefs are mariner graveyards . Hate to be political , I hope not in that vein .....

I have noticed less buoys like on the lower Lamoille. A couple of years ago, it was marked "No Wake" from the mouth up to thedam. Now, there is nothing. Better education would be helpful. More funding, not less.
