Lamprey numbers - feedback requested

My son and I boated 5 lakers on Saturday. Three had live lampreys attached. The fourth had a fresh scar on its head. The scar was larger than normal - looked like the lamprey was having a tough time getting a grip on the fish'e skull! One fish was clean.

I fish the broad lake in front of Burlington mostly and over the last few years there seems to be considerably less numbers of lamprey (although I haven't kept records). I'm the past it seemed like every other fish had live lamprey on them. I've boated well over 100 lakers this year and would estimate I have only brought in 10-15 lake trout with live lamprey on them. Great job controlling the population!!
