Outdoor Life Champlain Article 1980

Lionel Atwill wrote this article for Outdoor Life 37 years ago. Interesting developments since the days of Pre-Lamprey treatment, Pre-Grand Isle Hatchery or Pre-Alewives.

Thanks for the post! :P I remember that issue, my Dad would get that magazine and I went home to visit him I would always read them. We fished Champlain in the days the author first spoke of, the pre-cold fisheries water days. We fished mostly in the Ticonderoga and Port Henry area and then stopped for a while except to ice fish now and then. I then took up fishing there again in the mid 80's, along with Lake Ontario. Those were wild and woolly days, again thanks for the post, nice to see a bit of nostalgia. 8-)
