Those are "real" salmon that get caught between dams when they build the dams on the river. It weight 25lbs!! Last year the same guy caught a 16pds. I do have an invitation from him and I'm thinking on going; it's quite a drive (8hrs) so will see as this year I did a lot of things and not much fishing on LC.

AMAZING.
Is that fish what was once a sea-run Atlantic that got "stuck" between dams and couldn't return to the sea?
Catch and serve with lemon.

It could be one that got stuck between dams or one that came from the ocean but with this color it's really a landlock. I got a invitation.

Beautiful fish, probably offspring of sea run as these dams have been built for many years now.

Gotta bring deep sea gear for that. I'd imagine that salmon would smoke smaller cheap reels. I had a carp do that to my trion 20. Was never the same after.
