I have an opportunity to fish just north of Plattsburg at the end of March . Is it worth bringing my Gear? We are just passing though and wife wants to spend a few days here . We will be right on the lake , Can I expect to get anything from the shore this time of Year?. Bait or lures, Would be helpful too. I typically Carolina rig with purple worms. Any better suggestions.
Thanks for any help
I typically surf fish in NC But like fishing any where I can.
Never fish in this Lake Help please
Re: Never fish in this Lake Help please
champlain is very good in march since the fish are shallow in the warmer water. depending are where you will be located will be the key to species caught. lots of bass, pike pan fish salmon lakers brown trout and more. you can spin cast bobber fish with bait or just dead stick it on bottom. good luck as chmaplain has over 80 species.
