Apple island launch conditions
Has anyone seen what the sandbar launch looks like? Is it ice in, or is it usable?? We got 3 nice days for fishing coming Fri Sat and Sun.

I was worried that was the case..
Wondering if any fisherman have been on that ice.. How thick is it?
Sounds like we are locked out of the inland sea for the winter.
Thanks for the pic and info!

The ice on the north side is dicey at best near the ramp with a lot of open water north to cedar isle. In front of the state park there is pretty good ice about half way to the drop off.. beyond that not safe. Keepers is safe about half way to Kellogg isle but beyond that not good. You want to be watchful as the transition there is immediate and not obvious. This bit of snow makes it even harder to determine. Leave the 4 wheelers at home

Dave do you think the ice at the launch can be broken with a aluminum hull?
Thanks for the info!

Matt, I would think ramp ice is better than 6 inches. An ice breaker would be good here
